You’re missing the point entirely. You said they were quotes from the book and they weren’t. They were direct quotes from his interview with Ennis. I own WB’s book and understand that he also wrote about them there.

I’m triggered by people making erroneous statements and then even more triggered by people who can’t admit fault. FFS, I can’t be bothered.

The comment, by others, was Bennett was just trolling Tallis by suddenly just making these comments, and I said the comments are (basically) an excerpt from the book (read the book , a couple of those sentences are basically word for word excerpt).

Bennett isn't trolling, he is being consistent with his views over decades , despite Tallis taking personal shots at him.

And that's the point I was making (if you want go on about missing the point).

If you want to make a point we could all be better posters. That's great I agree.
