Sauce probably got it due to being a rep player, being a 'name' now and he killed it post-Origin, especially the last month of the comp so it stuck in people's minds more.
Rapana had an outstanding year, but had a catch-22 with BJ alongside him. With him, he is probably seen to be doing less due to BJ setting him up more often than not, but without him, he doesn't do nearly as much and gets nowhere near any awards

EDIT: So that is 3 fucking years in a row Nth Qld have won the Dally M. Disgusting. Also Melbourne have acquired the Dally M curse. If u look it up Storm now only have a 7% chance to win on Sunday. Makes last year look even more fucking bradbury-like.
