So I'm thinking of taking the young bloke to the fan day tomorrow.
I know parking around Suncorp is impossible on game days but does anybody know what it's like on a normal Saturday? We'd probably get there early and we're prepared to walk a k or so.

Parking was easy the last time I went there. Plenty of parking spots at Milton on weekends.

Shouldn't be any different this year.. The turnaround at the club could make more people go but you shouldn't have any issues.

My daughter booked a car park for $12 at little cribb st not far from the stadium.

So how was it?

It was actually pretty poorly organised ...

They split the playing group into 4 groups. Signing autographs, playing touch, sponsors, taking photos.

There were 4 time slots with each group at one station fir 25 mins.

I lined up in the autograph line about 10 mins into the first groups timeslot and didn't get to the players until about 3/4 of the way through the last slot.

Lucky for me that a guy who was first in line for the first timeslot actually had two cards autographed and gave me one of them. So i also got the autographs of Parker, Roberts and Oates thst i wouldn't have gotten otherwise.

I have also now got Milford, Thaiday, Kahu, Offahengue and Reeds (got that at the end while he was finishing his photo slot, he was good enough to stay there an extra5 mins and sign a few autographs and take a few extra photos)

I'll upload a photo of my autograph card when i get home.

Yeah, the way they do the members day would be a lot better if they did it for longer..

They need a better system.

If they can't make it longer because it's one of the conditions for using Suncorp, then perhaps move it to Red Hill or another place.

Yeah it was the same last year but it was still worth going. I thought the team looked a bit fitter than last year. They were all pretty cut. Ese'ese has biceps that are bigger than most people's thighs.

one funny thing that happened: they were giving away streets paddlepop icecreams ...

and as we were standing in the line waiting for the last group of players to hit the tables for the autographs ... the players walk in lead by Milf, then a bit of a gap and in walks big Sammy Thaiday, to a massive cheer from the crowd, a big smile on his face and in his hand were a heap of the paddlepop icecreams.

now at that time i wasn't close enough to the tables, but i hope all of those weren't for him and he actually gave some to the other players

Yeah I went to the one they did at Red Hill, I think it was 2013? Yeah it must have been 2013 because that was the year the had the first trial game that same afternoon and Copley did his knee. Anyway, it was excellent.
