no drama mate, did fai play well???
fai has mad leg speed and footwork, berrell is one of those guys that just seemed to be there. i am not a fan of him.
hipgrave is all beast but he has very limited skill which has apparently been shown up at training this year.

What was the score Talanoa? Hipgrave will be massive impact back. S'ua too and was a standout in second half of broncs trial at bundy tonight. Fai played fairly and berrell didnt get too much but didnt do wrong either.

BRISBANE BRONCOS 48 (Allan 2, Saitaua, Hope, Faiud, Shibasaki Hart, Rudolph, S. Elliott, tries; Spaander 5/6, Hope 1/1, O'Hara 0/2 goals) defeated WYNNUM-MANLY SEAGULLS 12

The Brisbane Broncos Under 20s proved too classy for the Wynnum Manly Seagulls, racing out 48-12 winners.

After a scratchy start, hulking prop forward Sam Lavea had the Wynnum Manly defence in sixes and sevens with dynamic hooker Kalolo Saitaua forcing his way over inside the opening 12 minutes.

The Seagulls squared it up ten minutes later, but before they could assert themselves on the contest, they allowed a kick to bounce dead off the kick-off. In the ensuing set, Broncos five-eighth Logan Spaander gave fleet-footed Corey Allan too much room for the Seagulls defence to handle, enabling the Broncos to regain their six point buffer.

Moments later, the Broncos were in again through interchange Tristian Hope. The zippy hooker made the most of a lightening fast play-the-ball from Keenan Palasia and struck pay dirt scoring adjacent the posts.

With all the momentum, Brisbane could do no wrong, as Will Brimson cleaned up a loose pass from dummy half and found flying rookie sensation David Fauid with the most perfect cross-field kick imaginable.

Then to rub salt in the wound, the Broncos struck again through centre Shibasaki who completed the simplest of backline plays.

BRONCOS 28
SEAGULLS 6

After drawing first blood in the second half, the Seagulls appeared to be gaining the ascendancy in the second-half before super-sub Hayden O'Hara tore the Seagulls defence to shreds. The talented five-eighth showcased all the skills in the try of the evening, beating a handful of defenders before finding fullback Corey Allan with an inch-perfect flick pass.

With the contest slipping away from them, the Seagulls attempted one last do or die play. Unfortunately the footy gods were not on their side, with replacement winger Kalemb Hart intercepting the cut-out pass and racing 90m to extend the visitors lead.

Hayden O'Hara once again found himself in the thick of the action, summing the situation up nicely with a well-executed pass for Dolphins colt Josh Rudolph to score down the right fringe.

The visitors capped the night off in vintage fashion, with Saitaua taking advantage of some feeble defence to send rookie Sam Elliott over for the final try of the evening.

Great review. The boys on fire tonight. Almost looked too easy

Nice work BP. I note Fai and Hipgrave in that team list, yet both of them played in the "first grade" trial. Did they actually get game time in the 20's as well?

Good eye Toweley.

That's correct, Hipgrave and Fai featured in both clashes albeit on limited time.

What I found interesting is that Keegan played as an edge backrow in the NYC, replacing Palasia on the left fringe.

Both players made immediate impact as soon as they were injected, lifting the tempo for the Broncos, making life difficult for the Seagulls defence.

You need to be an RL reporter BP, that was magnificent

According to the Broncos Twitter...

Brisbane defeated the Titans 46-6.

No word on who ran out for either side. Hopefully the boys over on the Gold Coast forum can give us the details.
