Julian Christian scored a hat-trick for the Ipswich Jets in the Intrust Super Cup.

Christian hasn't had the most consistent season, but if he can channel what he's learned with the Jets there could be some hope for him yet at the Broncos.

Saw him in a schoolboys game where he outplayed haas by a lot and he's one year younger. Second rower. People keep worrying about losing juniors but we have better ones coming through year after year it seems lately

The fate of the Broncos Under-20s season hangs in the balance with one round remaining in the regular season. Sitting at 8th place, the Broncos travel to Townsville to take on the 4th placed Cowboys for Thursday evening's clash.

If the Broncos win they can finish as high as 6th on the ladder provided Manly (facing the 2nd placed Panthers) and Souths (facing the 5th placed Eels) lose their games.

Conversely if the Broncos lose, they will be relying on minor premiers Cronulla to beat Newcastle to hold 8th place.

North Queensland have their own agenda, as a win would cement their place in the Top 4 and potentially earn them 2nd place on the ladder.

The Cowboys are coming off a comfortably 26-18 win against Wests where they built a 20 point lead before Wests scored two late tries.
