Tbh, my comments were so stupid im surprised anyone actually took them seriously at all!

After his comments like " I watched State of Origin as a kid. I always wanted to play for the Blues but my dream has changed " and " It was pretty easy for me actually. I knew what I wanted after the World Cup and it was pretty easy to stay loyal to the Tongan jumper " he is starting to sound a bit like Jarryd Hayne though.

I agree. It does lessen the believability ( if thats even a word ) of what he says. He did also say the money doesnt mean anything to him as well.
