Cameron Munster should be making the move to centre.

He's done nothing at 6 since his debut. He hasn't been able to step up in the big moments. He's been given enough chances. Move him to centre and give Norman another crack.

As has been shown so many times over the years, form matters very little when it comes to Origin. I've lost count on the amount of times we've had players going into Origin down on form but regained that form when playing for QLD.

Norman will also be playing with a better pack and a better spine.

Norman is basically interchangeable with Milford in that neither should probably have ever played Origin and both certainly shouldn't be in contention currently.

If you are so keen to pick a guy who isn't really deserving and doesn't really have the runs on the board historically then you may as well go with one who is at least having a decent 2020 and just pick Ash Taylor.

If we did go the route of moving Munster I'd probably just play a runner like Brimson at 6. There's enough kicking and game management in DCE/Grant/Ponga for it to be fine.

I think they will have no option but to move Munster to centre. It's easier to find a competent 6 than a centre right now.

You must be joking, Oates isn't even up to playing wing for the Broncos, let alone QLD

Has had 2 games back from injury, and has made 3 really bad basic errors. Has also represented QLD 8 times, and performed really well. Happy to pick him on his past performances for QLD, and we really don't have any options. QLD forwards will need all the help they can get too.

Munster is still definitely QLD's best 5/8th (not counting Keary), so I still think you gotta go with your best player in a key position rather than someone worse just to strengthen the least important position on the field.
On the other hand, our depth in the centres is so horrendously bad, I dunno what you can even do.
Maybe they could put Brimson there in defence and rotate them in attack or something?

I think musnters been good at origin tbh, in particular last year he had multiple line breaks that would have led to try assists only for chambers to royally **** them up, but i do think he would go good a centre

Is Inglis actually eligible? I have my hesitations about a guy who's been so long out of the game but in all honesty our Centre options are so thin on the ground that he might well still be as good as anyone else we have left.

He's also a big game player and the kind of guy who doesn't struggle to get himself up for an occasion, so he might actually relish a chance like this.

We also shouldn't discount the talisman like qualities and self belief that he would probably bring to the side especially given we're likely to be carrying so many rookies and guys on debut. Might even be a callback to the legendary one off performances of Beetson in 1980 and Langer in 2001.

Read somewhere this morning that Holmes likely to miss Game 1.

With Feldt declaring himself ineligible you'd think there is actually a decent chance now that Oates will get a game .

This is a joke right? What part of being dropped to the Bench for the last placed Broncos makes you think he's about to get an Origin call up?

If Holmes was to miss Game 1 then with Feldt off the table I suspect they'll look to inject some more new blood - probably Ronaldo Mulitalo or even Tuala from the Knights. They could even do something insane like play Brimson out there, all of which is still more likely than Corey Oates again.

I wish it was a joke. Don't forget that Chambers, Glasby and Mbye played origin last year, none of which were in form.

Kevvie is unwavering in his support for Morgan too. I personally think there's a very good chance he will pick Oates and use the old "he's been here before" justification.

That would be right, Holmes is out because of the shoulder charge but there was never a thought of a professional foul. It wouldn't have changed the bearing of the game mind you but at least some consistensy would be nice.

Yet he has 8 origin games, in which he was quite good. Dane Gagai has been rubbish for Souths, he is still getting picked. Runs on the board means a lot in origin.
