Really? I didn't think he was too bad. They were having a lot of trouble tackling him and never really got the ball in an attacking position.

Its always an issue with him unless he evolves his game. Without good early ball he is very easily contained. He really should have a chat with Hodgo about how he can improve by going looking for the ball. He was bang average tonight.

He's made 7 runs for 70 metres, that's not bad at all, he barely got clean ball too

hope he has it in his game to do that. but to me i never got the impressive that staggs is what id call a footballer. just another extremely gifted athlete.

problem is gifted athetes can only get you so far. you also need to have game awareness and what we call football smarts. hodgo had that in spades.

not really sure if i have ever seen that in staggs in his career to date not even a glimpse. hes just a supreme explosive athlete which does have its place in the game but ill be surprised if he ever reaches the level of hodgo or the other great centres of our game.

What a game.

Carrigan was close to motm on debut.

Cobbo was amazing on debut, no errors, deft kick for a try, great runs when it really counted.

Few disappointing dropped balls and Klein not calling obvious knock ons etc.

If we had 17 all game and a decent ref, bit less dropped ball and we put 30 on them tonight.

Basically said he was scared to blow a penalty and QLD slowed their PTB too much. Also said Paulo was held back in the scrum.

Was a very fast game. Not sure if the Broncos QLD players will have the energy to back up against Canberra. This could be a very low energy game for us, I'm curious to see how we go..

The scary part for NSW is that we probably bombed at least 2 tries from passing to the wrong back up player after a break was made.
