FOOTBALL 2023 FIFA WWC Discussion

Try being a Man United fan with Harry Maguire as captain.

Now THAT is stressful.
I don’t follow anything to do with soccer so don’t understand this reference. Except I do know that soccer is stressful so I believe you.

My dad grew up a Man U fan but apparently his favourite players all died in a plane crash when he was a kid so he stopped following soccer, no doubt this catastrophe saved me from a life as a soccer watcher.

Think Darius Boyd in his final couple of years.
Ew. No thanks.

It's a stressful game but that's one of the things that makes it so enjoyable to watch.

The final 15 minutes in Man United's win against Man City in January was probably the most stressed I've been in years but the elation when that final whistle blew just made sitting through that completely worth it. I was on cloud nine after that.

Good win. Would have been so much pressure on them so to get three points without Kerr is huge. Now they can move on with the tournament.

And that penalty means there has been a penalty in every single game of the WC so far

England have not dominated this game as you would expect at all. Have looked shaky at the back.

Denmark just had a free header with pretty much an open goal and they send it over the crossbar.

Good call not to give a penalty for handball.

I've seen those given, though.
