Didn’t James Graham get in the shit for his hand gestures when talking to refs?

6.57pm – Knowles continues. "Walsh says that he didn't hear the referee say obstruction. However, video evidence shown showed him saying to the referee, 'I stopped, I stopped.' Walsh disagreed with the call and yelled "what do you f***** mean, c***."

Walsh said, "it was a clear call by the referee, I was talking to Patty [Carrigan].

Walsh says he didn’t hear ref say obstruction.
However, video showed him say to ref: “I stopped, I stopped”.Knowles said Walsh disagreed with the call and yelled “what do you fucking mean ****”.Walsh said: “it was a clear call by the referee, I was talking to Patty.”
So he didn't hear him call obstruction, doesn't mean he didn't know it was a penalty against him. This "However" sentence is so stupid. Like those two things are not dependent on one another.

Probably because it doesn't matter. Trial by media have made their verdict.
The media have made it so he needs some amount of weeks. They have flat out said it will be an outrage if it is dismissed so the NRL they need to act.

How come the MRC can’t charge players for racial vilification if a player on the field doesn’t make a formal complaint, yet they can charge a player for conduct the referee doesn’t even report?

This whole thing just stinks of the MRC taking their cues from the media, instead of reviewing it and making the determination themselves. It’s literally been a trial by media.

Was always gonna be the case one Ikin left
This is fucking disgusting from 360. I know we are hated by them but this is too much. Riccio sitting there with his shit eating grin laughing that it is just a question of how many weeks and Crawley so happy he looks like he could rip it out and start fapping at any moment.

Hooper has described this case as "highly entertaining"

There's different times that he called obstruction.

There was the initial penalty where he blows it and Reece goes to the ref and tells him that he stopped... then Patty comes over and tells him to slow his brain, the ref says obstruction around the same time at which point Reece is saying that he's talking to Patty.

It's highly likely he didn't hear either call.

He was acting like a thug.

Graham realised (or was told) that him pointing his finger at the ref was seen as aggressive. So he learned to speak to the refs with his arms behind his back in order to avoid it.

I’m really surprised that Butler wasn’t asked if he thought it was directed at him.
Exactly ... how can any match report that is leading to a charge not include the ref's version of events, and specifically if he felt the exchange was directed straight at him or not

Walsh is getting a bit testy from the questioning apparently.

He needs to calm down. That's not going to help his case...

Because it’s not a real court lol
