Mariner went off last night with 10 to go, he wasn't limping or anything so not too sure what the injury was or if he wanted an early shower.

Hope it's minor, he's likely to get another run before origin is over given how Oates played

I thought I saw Mariner in the coaches box last night behind Kev. Must have been someone else. Willison maybe?

Walsh being sent straight to the judiciary means he's facing several weeks. At least a month.

Or it means that those handing out the charges don't have enough info to confidently charge him. As in, there is the legitimate possibility that his actions could warrant a 4 week ban, but it is also entirely possible that it is worth 0 weeks and what Walsh (and Reynolds) is saying is true.

At least this way the Broncos have no choice but to go in to bat for their player, instead of just meekly accepting whatever is thrown at them. Big Dick Dave needs to go in there and start throwing his heft around. And Walters can rally around Walsh and get him to pull his head in without ruining his confidence.

Right call in my opinion. Fans would've cried foul if he wasn't put in front of a board over it. He now has the opportunity to call witnesses to testify he wasn't talking to the ref. In which case, he shouldn't get anything, unless he was generally being a fuckwit to the officials. In which case a fine. There have been 12 fines for contrary conduct this season.

If he's unable to provide evidence that he wasn't talking to the ref AND one of the officials testifies that he appeared to be then he deserves to be rubbed out, and that will include Origin.

Lol... NSWRL looking to take down a bronco again.

Wasnt Patty sent straight to the judiciary as well
Being sent straight to judiciary just means the MRC can't determine a charge. In Patty's case, that's because the hip drop was and still is a mystery to everyone. In this case, they evidently don't have enough video evidence to figure out what was said and to whom. If Walsh is backed up by other players, credible players, then that should be enough doubt. You'd think.

No one has got more than a fine for contrary conduct this season. There have been 12 charges, some players multiple times in a match.

Josh Reynolds only getting a fine for questioning a call as "Bullshit" straight to the ref's face should mean this gets no more than that.

But we all know he'll cop some BS suspension even if there is a lack of evidence and witnesses testifying that he was arguing with Fifita and not the ref

If Walsh directed that at the ref, he should have been sent off and cop 4 weeks.

If it was at another player, shouldn't be suspended. With all the camera angles available, surely they have something that shows who it was at.

Fox league have some new angles looks like fifita flicked him in the ear and he reacts but he's looking directly at the ref when he says it .... hmmmm

At the game i thought Fifita hit him in the head and he responded to that, but Walsh was looking at the ref and it was almost simultaneous so I don’t know

The thing that really gets me is this feels like it’s been driven by fox, they basically dobbed him in releasing that video, and even today they release more footage from another angle. The nrl operate by reacting to the media, they are going to wipe him out for as long as they can.
