He did run ...
But as usual couldn`t find supports or find the back field himself . WTF are Patty / Reece doing when they see a one marker situation ? Standing around scratching their balls ? That should be the signal, OK Billy is gonna scoot better get up there and get a pass off him . Nah fck, that my testes need a massage .
I must have missed that. Most of our incumbents were just dialing it in when Billy was on. Kevvie must've given them a serve at half time. Cobbo came out with a rocket up his arse.

Rare treat to have all four dummy halves on show. I had Paix bottom of the group until he scored that solo try. Mozer was a real treat, but didn't get enough time, partly because we couldn't complete sets. I'm itching to see him in the 17.

I was disappointed in Billy. He said in a number of interviews he'd be working on his running game over the preseason. We didn't see a lick of that. He, Reyno and Payne looked like they'd had a big lunch. Same with Cobbo until he pulled his finger out in the second half.
Paix still at the bottom for me. While Billy has come a long way over the past couple of years I still would love to see 9. Smoothy 14. Mozer at some point. Will never happen because Billy will always have a spot in the 17 unless he gets injured

Smoothy has some lapses in defence, Bill is still the obvious choice 9 just with his defence alone. I didnt see him get wrong footed at marker once. Smoothy took 4 minutes and they scored off the back of it.

SuperCoach saw it very differently:

Paix: 39
Mozer: 28
Walters: 20
Smoothy: 15

Walsh: 111
Sailor: 52
Madden: 44
Reynolds: 36

Sailor is a freak, especially with the boot. I'd be okay with him filling it at halfback in a proper game, to see how he copes with a structured attack. These trials are a complete rabble. You can't really tell how these blokes fit into a position until you see their weakness targeted by opposition coaches.

Won't take long before we find out whether Selwyn can cut it in the centres.
I don't know if I would call him a freak. He's decent, but I don't see him being a better replacement for anyone in our 17.

He was beaten pretty easily on the line by some random, so I would hate to think what would happen if he was targeted by a NRL level team. He is good at that scramble defence though, which I think works at fullback.

I thought Smoothy was the best out of all the hookers in the trail (especially in attack). While Walters wasnt elite, he defended well in the middle (had some nice runs here and there too).

Their strengths probably suit their current rotation as well. I.e Walters takes the hard minutes, and then Smoothy comes on to help pile on the tries later in the game.

Okay... but that has nothing to do with using SuperCoach scoring to justify how good a player is. Mam was Dally M 5/8 last year but mid range SuperCoach player
Maybe read that post again. It didn't even match my opinion.

He has some freakish skills, especially with the boot. Can he fit into our 17? I don't know. Neither does Kevvie, but he's dwelling on it.

Would love to see this in Vegas:

1. Walsh
2. Arthars
3. Cobbo
4. Staggs
5. Oates
6. Mam
7. Reynolds
8. Haas
9. Walters
10. Jensen
11. Piakura
12. Riki
13. Carrigan

14. Mozer
15. Willison
16. Hetherington
17. Taupau

Jensen and Willison you could interchange either way but I'd prefer to bring Willison on late with hard, fast running against tired forwards.
