Nerve damage in his shoulder.

He's had two nerve-conduction tests already and the nerve isn't completely dead but it's not responding sufficiently.

If it doesn't heal, they will go for nerve transfer surgery to try and save his career.

NRL is really clamping down on it due to the refs at lower levels copping too much abuse. Professional players need to be setting the example.
