A nerve issue - we aren't talking career threatening are we?

Very worried. Two weeks ago The said that he had positive news. So typical of nerve compression injuries, one day can seem positive and the next is literal hell.

lee priest been trying to sort nerve damage out in his shoulder/arm for years(2014 iirc) now could really kill his career if it is troublesome enough

Somehow Jack Bird didn't fracture his ankle.

It's a high ankle sprain. He should consider himself very lucky.
