Going down to Petrie Park at mid day for the weekly touch footy game .
It`s been running 30 years every Wednesday . It used to be Council vs Lands Dept .
Now days the council guys are in Maroochydore mainly . So me and a few other ring ins make up the numbers .

I played a curtain raiser for Sunshine Coast vs Brisbane in 1984 . Brisbane were basically the Origin team minus the Sydney based players. That was the night I realized there were levels in the game . Guys who were local champions humbled by The King , Gene ,Mal and Dish head Wally Fullerton Smith had a head clash with the Coast #1 that caused the biggest head gash I have ever seen .
