Luai named co-captain at Wests alongside Koroisau. Smart move. Love him or hate him, he's proven himself as a player and a leader, and will no doubt elevate the team.

Digging through some Round 1 news, and was just reminded of something.

Despite being suspended for five matches, Asofa-Solomona will only miss two NRL games - the Grand Final and the season opener.

The NRL decided to include all the Pacific Tests.

Remember when they umm'd and ahh'd over whether to include Origin III in Walsh's 23 suspension?

Common sense has failed here. The suspension should have only counted if he was actually a chance of playing. Since he was suspended for the whole tournament regardless it's something he should have copped on the chin.

Yeah that’s not a can of worms. So a slightly illegal tackle could get a 15min sin bin after a HIA fail.

Yeah let’s add more grey areas.

I think still 10 in the bin . But they take your number and if 15 minutes later the victim can't pass the HIA you're gone for 10 .
Still just a proposal / Click bait .

If they're going to implement then i think the NRL should have an independent doctor present during the HIA.

It's one of those ones where if your reserve grade prop gets HIA'd right on the time they're coming from the field then have them "fail" the HIA to bring one of their players off the field for 10mins.

Hell some teams ::cough:: storm ::cough:: just drag people from the field under HIA to rort the substitutions... now they can add a failed HIA and get a player sin binned.

There are massive risks of rorting given how much rorting already happens around HIA's and diving for high tackles

100% going to happen if the rule is implemented. Any time that a spine player clips a forward high you may as well book them in for a sin bin.
