2025 Pre-season discussion. The Madge dynasty begins.

No, Using last seasons table. A bit like a reverse race grid, so the teams who are on top have a harder draw by default and the teams who came down the bottom have ab easier draw by default.

History has shown dominant teams stay dominant and struggling teams tend to struggle for a while.

A team like the Tigers shouldn't have to play panthers, storm, roosters twice.

Have them playing other bottom feeders twice to help them up the ladder and be more enticing for signings and better viewing for the game.

It would also be good to watch the top teams flog it out with top quality football several times a year.

Thanks for the clarification .

All G.

Yeah it is wild. You can go back like 15 years and there's probably only 5-6 different premiership winners in there. Storm, Roosters, Panthers have won multiple. Throw in a rabbits and cowboys premiership. Can't remember when the dogs won it. But there aren't many winners.

Can we ask to play Melbourne in the Origin affected weekends ffs
They dont really get affected by origin all that much nowadays.

Harry and Munster the certainties, and now Coates on the wing.. I think that's it for them though?

Paps, Hughes, NAS, Katoa, etc. all still play over origin.

Harry and Munster always seem to back up as well if we got them the week after.

We lose Patty and Haas as certainties, Walsh seems likely given Ponga is never available, Cobbo likely as well given we have **** all outside backs and he will probably carve up early season again.

Staggs probably not, but could.

Piakura should be nowhere near, but keeps getting named in the squad

All true, but I'd still rather play them with any outs than NZ in NZ

Our entire draw is based on how to extract the most viewers for the season as a whole as we are the highest drawing team in the competition for viewers, they use the Origin periods to give us the low viewer games of the season which are low for most regular games in this period as more people tune off for the weakened games, which almost certainly puts Warriors at the front of the list, given the Aus TV coverage doesn't get any slice of the NZ TV pie.

It's all way too predictable and makes a mockery of any kind of fairness while the NRL just let's TV companies Raw dog the sport like this with the draws.

I can't believe I have to point out the obvious problem with this!

It is simple, logical, and makes perfect sense.

No way the NRL adopt it ticking those boxes 😉

You make a very good point. I'm sorry I didn't see the error of my ways haha.

Latest pre-season news:

- Madge declares he is primed to reunite with Adam Reynolds.
- Reyno back at training tomorrow after U.S holiday.
- “It would be amazing to do at the Broncos what we did at Souths,”
- “We are definitely aware of the opportunities we have and that’s the goal here".
- Madge had a chat with Reyno on Tuesday and he is really looking forward to getting back in among the guys.
- Reyno is in that frame of mind that this is likely the last opportunity for him (at another premiership), that's why he is super keen.
- "Adam will be such a valuable asset for me on the field, he has had a massive influence on the club and there’s no reason it can’t continue next season. Reyno is aware of his leadership role and his importance to this club.”
- Reyno says if you’re mentally strong enough the body will follow and that’s one thing that Masge is very big on.

The more I read the more I like. The mental game has not been this club's strong point for a long time, turning that around will be key to getting the most out of the group. Last year they seemed to be mentally tough but this year it was back to usual programming. I hope to see a big change in 2025 in this area.
