I'm really interested to see how many of the first team make it to this weekend's Souths' game. Where is it being played BTW?
Davies Park over in West End.

2pm Sunday.

I'm locked in for 3:05pm this afternoon. Dolphins/Bears U/19s.

Love a Grand Final! Today is going to be great.

Dolphins, just great forwards, Starr, Marsh and Ford is a great front row and that is where it will start.

Fien will get on the back of that and dominate down the left.

Bears the backs are their strength but that backrow of Bryce and Lavender can't be underrated. Lavender has had a great Meninga season and ironically is with the Dolphins but playing for the Bears.

Marsh v Watson is going to be outstanding. Watson was jumping into half last week which just shows his smarts- again shame he's with the Storm.

So many great match ups.

How much of that Burleigh lineup is Broncos affiliated kids?

Innes- Plays both sides of the field, can't be shut down- lovely pass and his run is a 45 degree to the corner. Moves like a rocket. They say 4.63 sec over 10m. Had a great season. Will go close to player of the year. 10 games and 7 tries and last year of Meninga.

Tonihi- Great finisher, classic winger stays out and waits for someone like Verhoeven to do his thing and doesn't crowd him. Had few weeks out this year but finished strongly just because he keeps it simple. 8 games and 7 tries.

Verhoeven- Physical, aggressive and knows it. He just dominates other centres with speed, fend, and his balance is what stands out. He can fend off a player while running at full speed and then pass between two defenders. Plays on the left and has 10 games and 10 tries.

Coates- Had a slow start to the year, 10 games and the sluggish 5 tries compared to his Bronco mates but he's the biggest just needs to take his chances.

Trew- The big win for him has been consistent football in the last month and he's played his best football. He's the Bears' To'o gets them moving, and any chance that comes his way he takes. 8 games and 8 tries.

Bryce- Does the hard work and the attack at the other end, just goes and goes. Great try last week and has improved again this week. Just wind him up and don't worry about him.

Francis- Played his first game last week in a final, in the front row. Led the Bears to a Cyril Grand Final win then steps up to Meninga. Played the full 80 minutes and made 24 tackles- great debut. At 16 years old playing Under 19 in the front row can't be underestimated.

Much appreciated, thank you 🙏

All these young backs ready to go in the next year or 2. Makes sense to sign Staggs for so much on a long term deal ... Not!

Been raining on and off all day at Redcliffe, going to be slippery and wet.

Dolphins lead 4-0

Bears had to defend four sets in a row before Trew was able to mark a cross-field kick.

Bears with a chance to a reply and Watson drops it cold.

Watson hasn't dropped like that all season. All Dolphins, the 40/20 the try with Bears not getting off their line.

Fien in complete control.

Great play by Trew.

Looks like the Bears halfback, McLaren, has picked up a serious injury attempting to score a try.

Great tackle on Bryce the play before. Bears were starting to get on top before McKay jammed in.

Dolphins defend McLaren to Bryce beautifully.

McLaren off massive to lose your half now.

It's great having points of attack and everyone having a say but I say now Watson has to be at hooker not a third half.

Take control and get it back off him.

Watson with a do or die pass throws it above the head of Tonihi and the Dolphins hold on.

However a poor pass from Marsh gifts them another opportunity.

It comes to naught as Lavender is pinged for an obstruction on Fien. It was looking promising for the Bears.

Watson to Innes forward pass- the wheels are wobbly. Penalties in possession and forward passes they've done it all bar kick out on the full.

If they can get to HT 4-0 I would take it.

4-0 Dolphins HT

Francis played the entire half, not bad from an U/17s in an U/19s GF.

Bears seem more likely down the left.
