Try must be coming for Bailey soon, every hit up he is breaking through.

That' a classic Bears try, all the way to the right and Trew makes a great strong run carrying three of them but held up, all the way back to the left with a kick- Tonihi catches it flick pass and Bears try.

12-0 after 12 minutes is 16-12 at ht.

Lavender and Trew have got Bears back into this at HT. Shame Kilarney Lavender is with the Dolphins because he's a great second rower.

Oh dear Souths you can't just wait for Innes to finish what he is doing.

Great run and pass for Trew.

Bears 18-12

Bears will score the next four tries now.

From the kick off.

Trew catches a kick unmarked and scores.

Hayden Watson destroying Souths. He will crack 200m from dummy half runs.

Innes great play the ball, Bears go short and Coates isn't being stopped.

Bears 34-12

34 unanswered points.
7 tries in 30 minutes

Innes another great pass.

I see Harry Armstrong is named on the bench for NSW Cup today.

Bryce great run and Innes scores to stop the carnage.

Bears 48-12 FT.

West burns Rex and the Bears are finally on the board.

10-4 Hunters

Then Christensen spills it on the return set and PNG have set up camp inside the Bears red-zone.

PNG take full advantage. Voro skips across field, finds Mathias steaming onto the ball and neither Christensen or Steadman get close to stopping him.

16-4.

Bears and Wynnum terrible today. Nothing to take from there. Madden and Baker average as can be.

Cutters win in Meninga so Norths done.

Player watch for me today:

Fletcher Baker:
Disclaimer everything I say here for Baker may be attributed to the number 11 Adam Christensen, they looked like twins out there. For his first game back I would say he played okay. They played him up the middle as a prop and he offered some nice runs and a few offloads, but his defence was lacking. Still showing the same habit of being slow off the mark when defending at marker, which the Hunter dummy half exploited a few times. He also got bowled over at the line which nearly resulted in a try which made me wince, and I think got put on report for a tackle?

Harry Armstrong:
Came on and scored a try within a minute during a broken play down the left side which originally had him running as decoy. I always think a sign of a good footballer is when they put themselves in the right place at the right time. As a decoy runner he could have thought his job was done, but it was his effort to run back to support the ball carrier that resulted in the try. Other than a drop ball off a poor short pass, the guy looks very comfortable out there. This guy might be the one who got away unfortunately.

Beni Allen:
Is there something wrong with Beni? Seems to be getting less minutes every week. I was excited to see him come on, made some nice legs tackles and maybe a hit up or two, and then suddenly he was off again for a grand total of 11 minutes in the middle of the game. What gives?

Allen couldn't even make the side last week he was 18th man then back on the bench today for 11 minutes and 10 minutes against the Pride.

Head has only seen fit to give him 21 minutes the last three games.

Wynnum could have done with some enthusiasm today, they were directionless all day. Few big Allen charges might have helped.

Nothing else did so I am unsure how you just give him 11 minutes.
