2026 Pre-Season Discussion

The market for it is mostly where ?
coca leaf has been in Andean culture thousands of years .
It`s when you turn into cocaine and send it to the USA it becomes a problem .

What is in this for Smith? We already won it without him and if we win again, what difference has he made? If we don’t, that doesn’t reflect well on him. Such a weird appointment and has Melbourne attempt to destroy us from within written all over it.

He screwed us over for 20 years on the field, why let him do it now off?
I am also concerned with all this Melbourne infiltration. I am so screwed up from Melbourne thrashings i am suspicious its all some trojan horse!

sorry guys ... being lazy and haven't read all posts ... just wondering if the NRL have officially changed the kick-off rules. For mine it totally sucks, didn't they try this during the Super League experiment.

It's only a proposal at this stage, nothing has changed yet.

I dont mind the kick off change in theory... but only because of the 6 again stupidity.

It should definitely be tested at reserve grade level first though.

Momentum is so hard to change because of six agains... last weekend Samoa didnt touch the ball for 10mins and that was pretty much game over because of all the defending they had to do.

It was worse in 2020/21, because teams were literally going back to back on kick off sets and score lines were blowing out.

Having the team that scored kick off gives the defending team an opportunity to respond... basically allows the arm wrestle to reset.

I think it all but kills off kicking the 2pts though.

It was already nearing life support, because there are barely any penalties inside the 20m, but you're not going to take the 2 points and then hand possession over.

Or you know, just admit the six again was the worst rule change in league history and stop doubling down on stupid rule changes to try and fix what wasn't broken until they broke it.

The alternative is stopping the game for a penalty. That's two points, quite often.

Which I'd arguably prefer. I don't hate the 6 again rule in theory but I don't like it in its current state. Needs to be something like 2 x 6 agains and then a penalty or something. Or its a penalty after tackle 3 etc. Either way, it needs to be reworked if they aren't going to scrap it because we've got teams getting continuous 6 agains on the 4th and 5th and basically getting carried up the field by the ref. It's BS. We've absolutely reaped the benefits of this as well btw but I don't like it at all.

Edit: Or ****ing bin someone if the ref has to call more than 2 X 6 agains in a set.
