Q-CUP 2026 Queensland Cup Discussion

Two runs in his first set, think this is the challenge he needs. Hope he plays well enough for Burt to keep him in Cup all year.

Three NRLQ games and four Meninga games is not enough.
 
Good run but tries too hard and drops/passes the ball out the back and Bears lose it.
 
Great run and great play the ball, on the back of that Bears make a break down the right hand side and make 40m next tackle.
 
Bears score, Francis played his part there. His run and play the ball got the set momentum.
 
Bears win by one. Nice tight game for Francis debut and he had to defend in the last seven minutes at the end and contributed to three tries with good runs before the try. Didn't think he'd get another go out there, but Burt showed some faith.

I'm glad he got the chance to step up into that level. Was he playing at lock?
 
Jett is probably deserving of a debut after that game. His defence was unreal with 59 tackles, he scores a great all effort try, and through his strong decoy running assists in the other two. Assuming Payne and Brendan are back next week, I would be giving Jett the 17 jumper over Aublix.

Shame about Laubscher, he was really starting to catch my eye with his damaging runs, in particular his last from the back fence hitup off the kickoff he did which sent the defenders scattering. Unfortunately it looks like he may have dislocated his shoulder in the process.
