Q-CUP 2026 Queensland Cup Discussion

Grant puts a cut out into row F. Souths could run away with this here.

That Verhoeven tackle kept them in this.

Verhoeven wins the short drop out for Wynnum, they have been on their line a lot.

Hunt off the first time.
Still no Bukowski back.

Wynnum need to find a bench hooker because Wynnum have lost potency without Jarvis at 6 and Anderson down the left.

Seagulls with their best opportunity of the half. Bukowski brings Hunt onto the ball, Jaiyden is belted and spills the ball.

That’s game set match from here. Souths boys have been disciplined and just rolled up the sleeves. Very unsouths like.

Eggerling looks up from dummy half, spots Hunt flat footed and scores with ease.

24-10 Magpies with less than 8 to go.

Should be a big win on the road for Souths.

Great service out of dummy half from Buk to get Jacks the ball with width. First of many for Nio.

Anderson comes up with it off the kick off for the Seagulls.

Surely not?

Anderson busts through two tackles, looks like there's a headclash and the Pies defence is in tatters. Farr beats a rushing defender on the insider, lofts a pass to Verhoeven who dives and scores on debut!

24-14 ktc.

Verhoeven first try, had a big day, dropped three kicks, Anderson was great for him, scores a try and some good runs and got bashed a few times.

Good debut.

Farr busts through, finds support, Ross lofts a pass to Nio but he can't reel it in.

It was shaping nicely for Wynnum.

Good win by Souths. Wouldn't have backed them to keep Wynnum to 16 but much improved defence.

Wynnum looked at their best when they went Bukowski, Jacks, Anderson, Verhoeven.

Duffy's short kicking game was back to Pride 24 vintage. Needs a Chester though.

Anderson was great first half and good second half but his effort second half filling about 12 roles was outstanding.

I wouldn't be surprised if Souths and Hunt have their best year since 23. I think Hunt is happiest coaching without the NRL players in and out on Friday.

Boom!
