Duffy gets my Bronco man of the round- first half had no ball, but I think that try on HT gave him a bit of hope that they could score.

I watched him after Bears scored first in the second half and still positive at 26-6.

He was so calm and played football, he didn't get frantic and try everything and anything just went about making sure his forwards got him down there and then let his passing and kicking game steer the comeback.

The one kick that gave the Bears a 20m tap was a blemish and let the pressure off. But he was excellent with the Souths forwards, if he still didn't like it, he'd wait and go again.

I don't think he ran himself once, just pulled at the thread. Had the added pressure of knowing he had to kick the goals too.

That will be 4 or 5 try assists to get a draw against the premiers from 22-0 down.
 
Bit of growth there too for Duffy, 24 finals at 16-16 all in a prelim he had two shots and didn't get them. James nailed his and Pride don't make the Grand Final losing by a point. Always thought winning 38-0 week one and then a home prelim after a week off doesn't get any better- or shouldn't get any better.

Today Duffy had a plan, wanted the ball and knew how to get the points and down the field to get them. Not a final and they didn't win but massive change in body language and planning
 
Francis chased hard on Gifford and nearly stopped him scoring under the posts and winning the game. That's a middle playing 70 minutes chasing a fullback.
