Coates showed some good hands for the second try which is always a bit of a thing for him. But he dropped two others.

Bryce- thought he handled it, bigger guys is always going to be a problem.
80 minutes and made 30 tackles.
Semu- didn't miss a tackle for the third week in a row and 15 runs for 141m which is well above his average. His time on the field was well down which might be helping his output and impact.
Mozer came on just before half time and had a pep in his step, was involved, was attacking. When he gets out and holds the ball in two hands running that J line, he's at his best. All I want to see with Mozer is some numbers in the attacking, try assist, line break etc. He did that on Saturday.

Verhoeven- try was sensational balance and fend but also 12 tackle breaks in the game.
He's at centre the whole set coming down the field, Farr tries to get him the ball down a short but ends up going back open which just opens up the field when they come back.
He's hunched over like it's the school cross country has just finished. Ball comes out and he just goes bang.
Steps and fends and moves through the defence, that's a 2025 try.

I haven’t seen him play. Is he one of these guys that’s more effective one off the ruck ala Blake Ferguson?

He needs to learn to do it, you can't be an NRL outside back making 45m a game and a scoring a try a game.

Broncos as a team average 4.8 dummy half runs a game.
The highest average in the comp this year is 13.5 to the storm with Harry having 32 of their 54 dummy half runs.
Kini is the first non-hooker for dummy half runs across the comp at 8 total runs across 4 games.
It seems dummy half runs from outside backs is just not a tactic nowadays.

You need to return kicks and do hit ups out of your end, that's why I said hit ups too. At some point you're going to have to be a front rower for your team either from dummy half on tackle two or hit ups.
That part of his game is underdeveloped, which is fine he's 18 and four games in but it's worth noting he doesn't do it at all.

I only pointed to dummy half runs because they're basically non-existent for outside backs in the current game, so they're not really a gauge of workrate anymore.
If he's a winger and not taking yardage carries then yes he has to fix that... he wouldn't be in any teams across NRL for not taking carries.
Centres can vary, but even Staggs has picked up his workrate in that regard

Interesting to read what the Bulldogs fans had to say over in the Kennel. Sounds like he had some disciplinary issues (bleach hair) and was playing Ron Massey Cup which is never a great sign.
