Either crack 1sts and be consistently in the 17 or explore your options .

There's been talk of loaning out Mozer for a year to get some first grade experience. I hope not.

It's a tough one, made tougher recently. Hunt is better at 7. Billy is better at 6. But there's not a lot of pace there. And Reynolds is even slower. Let's see how Reynolds looks when (if) he returns, but I'd like Hunt 7, Mam 6, Mozer 9, Billy 14, with Paix depth. I don't know how to play Hunt and Reynolds together.

Probably only take one loss for me to change my mind on this.

I think that's completely harsh, theres no reason to rush him in when we have experienced hookers still thriving. Loaning Mozer to another club is a stroke of genius in my opinion. Reynolds will retire next year and Hunt in two years. Give him experience next year and bring him back fit and firing when Paix and Reynolds are both gone.

He needs to fix his shoulder . Learn how to tackle again and see if he can make the team .

His talents would have been recognised and he would be in the 17. I can`t recall him even being in an extended squad as merit like several of his team mates from that dysfunctional cup team .

It's real easy from the armchair, reality is that people take time to develop. They rarely come into an NRL squad and become mainstays, particularly in the spine.

I reckon mozer would have been picked over paix at some point this year if not for the injury. It was unfortunate.

If he doesnt get loaned he could be starting 9 next year. Paix can be second fiddle and obviously Billy has locked up the 14 jumper

If he was at another club other than the one that had the GOAT he probably could have been Rookie of the year before then .
Mozer and Grant are not even in the same post code when it comes to playing foot ball .

He made his NRL debut for the Melbourne Storm in their Round 11 match against Manly-Warringah .He had his Melbourne jersey (cap number 188) presented to him by Melbourne captain Cameron Smith.

In 2019, Grant spent the majority of the season playing for the Sunshine Coast Falcons in the Queensland Cup, taking them to the minor premiership and earning a spot in the Queensland Cup Team of the Year He was also named the Falcons Player of the Year, winning the James Ackerman Medal.
 
Spine players and forwards take a little bit longer to mature than outside backs.

Spine players need to develop experience playing against men and work out that they just can't pass it to the big kid to win anymore. They need to learn the nuisances of the game, and that takes a little longer.

Forwards need to grow into their frame and develop their "man/wrestle strength" (which differs to gym strength).

There will be exceptions like payne, but they are rare.
