I would’ve thought if you were going with Ponga in the halves that Walsh at the back would be essential as a kick option. And Hammer is a much better centre than Shiba/Howarth. Kind of like back in the day being able to run a Wagon/Flannery in the halves with Lockyer’s boot able to bail them out

If that's the team, I just don't know what Billy is thinking. Essentially comes down to Shiba/Howarth > Walsh. Hammer in centre and Walsh at FB is infinitely better combination for the team. Essentially weakening two positions.
