2026 U19 State of Origin

2 Phins props have done well at finding their front and getting quick PTB too

Dolphins look scary over the next few years, strong first team and fantastic pipeline of talent coming through. Their future looks great.

NSW fancy that Rauqe vs. Poese match-up.

Queensland survive for now but Poese looks far from confident under the high ball.

Watson's kicking game leaves something to be desired it has to be said.

Nice try for Francis... went to the line with two options... I think if he passes it the support runner scores anyway

Thought Hagan deserved a better reward for that kick.

Queensland with another big last tackle penalty.

Francis!! Off a good run from Neal sees the space and his eyes light up like dinner plates. Queensland extend their lead.

Poese is more of a fullback isn't he?

He can fill in there but I see him more as a winger.

NSW hit back. Poor mistake off the kick-off and that was some soft defence down the left. Could be a big moment in the game.

Not sure about that decision to go for field goal... still 1min left and he took an age to kick it.

The prop in the previous tackle being unable to find any pass stuffed things, but the defensive line was probably still a bit shot to have another go at them instead of field goal

Is Klown reffing this one as well?

Can we get a check if NSW were onside in the previous field goal attempt?

Surrender tackle so defensive line had to be set.

That's where you just kick for a corner.

Will come back to bite Queensland. NSW with back to back penalties to force a 12-8 scoreline into half-time.

I would be pretty happy at only 12-8 if I’m NSW. Thought QLD had the better half.

Qld forwards well on top. Thats their strength. I wouldn’t even be moving out of the middle third.

I did think Watson’s kicking has been average.

Yeah surrender, but it didn't feel like NSW had the line speed getting out to the forward/decoy so seemed like they might've had space to run a backline move and/or just put a kick in.

That or it was super obvious that he was always going field goal so they didn't bother coming up outside the one guy doing the charge down

What did you make of the head high on Cayless? Looked like one of those start a fight to draw a penalty.

Was that after the charge down?

I thought he did get him high on that... start a fight was more like trying to turn it into a bin.

I missed the replay though

I thought it was across the shoulders on a falling player. May have slipped up but I gave the game on mute so I don't know if the whistle was blown right away.

Still, I'm impressed with Hagan. I think he's winning the head to head battle with Wynyard despite Wynyard's try.
