This bloke is gutless and mediocre. He makes no hard runs in our half and barely contributes in attack. He and Griffin have stopped the side reaching its potential as Parker should have his spot. Sick of a bloke going through the motions get a spot week after week despite showing no heart he should be the first to **** off with the coach.

Why the **** is Gillett getting such a free ride around here? He is doing sweet **** all and he's a representative back rower!

Sorry Buzz I could not agree with this. I think he offers a lot. He isn't a high impact backrower but largely makes good meters, runs great lines and has good footwork at the line. His defence is solid. I can't see too many negatives in him.

I'm fairly certain he is playing injured but he has been really poor this season in general

Glenn's not a star but he does a job, I still don't think talent is the issue, I think it's poor coaching, like Barba being forced to bulk up, Vidot too for that matter and then just the actual game play coaching and our defensive coaching... Well yeah our coaching is holding us back.

He and Gillett are piss weak in defence and attack.

He's not being used correctly. When Norman was 5/8th he was our top try scorer (2012). But with Griffinball in full effect he was used like a battering ram. Didn't help he had Hoggman at 5/8th for 75% of the year either. He's looked better with Barba there

Glenn needs to go.

There are better second rowers out there that would kill for a chance to play under Bennett.

Barba is a better half than Hoffman, but he's still not a real half.

Glenn is far from our worst....

He needs to remember how to run lines and hope we have some halves that can put the ball on his chest when he does.

Same goes for Gillett....his stupid 'run around like a 2 month old labrador' efforts need to stop !

Glenn is the best of our backrowers at the moment, he's easily outplayed both Gillett and Thaiday this entire season.

All of our backrowers have been poor this year, it's a coaching issue. None of them run lines, take the ball on the move or get used in set plays enough. They're given the ball standing still and expected to do magic, pointless.

I have to say that's how I see it too.

I hope next year is better than this year!

Glenn is the only one that does. Unfortunately other teams know this and have had him covered for the most part.

100% this!

I expect a huge difference under Bennett.
Coached properly, our backrow (Parker, Thaiday, Gillett, Glenn and Oates) is the best in the NRL imo.

This^^^

.... I was a fan, but he's become very one dimensional and tbh we could do with a lot better.

I'm not quite up to the levels of hate as the OP, but I do think it's time that we moved him on.

I don't care who of our backrow makes way but Oates has to be starting from round 1 next year.

I vote Thaiday. He can't handle more than 20 mins at a time (if that). He's a perfect bench impact now. No more lazily lying in the ruck and leaving us a man short in the defensive line or getting burnt for speed when he's tired because, lets face it, Sam isn't the most impressive athlete. He's not getting any younger. Time to start easing him towards retirement while still maximising his output
