Teams are announced later today.

CM has confirmed Hodges & Prince will represent the Indingenous side while Ben Hannant will represent the All-Stars.

Can't wait for some Rugby League.

Jarryd Hayne is in the allstars team, He just announced it on Facebook. Can't wait for the all-stars game, I'm going is anyone else?

Cheer up, Coxy. No need to have such a negative outlook.

Thats a positive outlook, Coxy is excited about his team and wants to get a good early look at it before the season starts. Way better than watching some glorified trial that features players noone gives a **** about.

A nothing game which can only bring injuries

I tend to agree at this point in time, but I wonder if people said the same thing about origin when it first started

I still say Origin's main purpose is to bring injuries :P I stop short of saying it's a nothing game though.

All Stars is just an exhibition game and really if the Indigenous all stars don't win it's a let down. It's all about their team. You almost feel racist going for the NRL All Stars! LOL

I'm quite happy to sit back and enjoy it on TV, but I wouldn't pay money to go and see it again (went to the inaugural one).

It really is awkward, I went to last years game and felt so awkward cheering for the All Stars while i was surrounded by people cheering for the indigenous all stars. The difference between this and Origin is in Origin both sides are playing for something while in the All Stars match only the indigenous really have anything of worth to play for.

Is it weird that I serious don't give a shit about this game, won't watch it, or even give a crap who wins?

I don't care about the result, but I look forward to the action.

The game is simply fun and the quality is good given the start of the season.

Sometimes it get's too obnoxious with constant sideline interviews and silly impractical rule experiements but otherwise it's a nice exhibition.

It won't ever be Origin though. Origin is the pinnacle and was built on years of bragging rights.

So long as All Stars games don't start being counted on a player's representative record, I'm fine with it.

Looking at the teams, the Indigenous stars have a much better backline, while the All Stars have the better pack.

I'll watch on TV for sure, because being at the game I want to support the All Stars and bag the indigenous team. That generally results in awkward looks, as I'm not being PC... :glare:

Yeah, like after the first game the indigenous team won, and being taunted on the way out with "who's sorry now, huh?".
I don't think some people quite get the spirit that it's meant to be about...
