Especially for NRL All Stars. It doesn't mean anything to them. Indigenous will always be keen, it's all about them. NRL All Star players have nothing to gain from playing.

I like the game as it's the first bit of footy we get to see after a couple months lay off.

As for the ALL Stars team being full of nobodies ..I don't care. I've always liked the concept of a PM's XIII. Gives fringe players a chance to mix it up with some of the more elite players and coaching staff.

Injuries can happen in any given game.

The part that most of the nay-sayers seem to forget about is that this game does a lot for the aboriginal community .......it promotes that sport can be a gateway out of the depressive abyss that a lot of aboriginal communities face. With hard work and a dedicated commitment to something such as a sport .....some of these young kids can grow up to believe in something.

On top of that it's a way for aboriginal players in the NRL to stand up and showed their pride in their own cultural heritage.

It should be viewed as a celebration ....and not selfishly as some kind of inconvenience to our own NRL teams.

Indigenous Sevens. Public picks the two captains, then they each take turns to pick players.

Having said that, there's still pride there for each NRL all-star player. Regardless of who plays, they're sole representative for their NRL club, so any player who doesn't get motivated by that, and take pride in that, doesn't deserve the honour.
