He got better as the game wore on for mine. His cross-field kicking was pretty poor but his grubbers caused headaches.

I think a Koori vs Murri game would be so much better, keep a big involvement with other superstars of the game as well to maintain interest. I just can't get behind a concept which puts Indigenous players against the rest, it can too easily fuel a separatist mentality.

Gee Ben Barba had a brilliant game last night. It just goes to show if you perfect the little things you can reap great rewards, I think Barba is the master at support play and being in the right place and the right time. Had a really enjoyable night and got to meet a few players and former greats.

True, considering the indigenous side seem to go out there to kill the All Stars. However, Beads has a point. It's a bad look.

Perhaps if the Storm weren't preparing for the WCC I would be a bit more annoyed at him pulling out and then playing, but clearly they wanted to keep him in check, get him through 30 minutes and be right to play the WCC.

I see your point re: separarist (I posted the same earlier).

It occured to me that the NRL All-Stars have a responsibility, or duty, or honour to play their guts out at high intensity out of respect for the Indigenous side and what it means to each of them to be playing this game.

Just because you aren't black doesn't mean that reconcilliation is a moot point.

Honour that spirit and virtue by playing as tough as you can, because the Indigenous side want to prove what they can do, against the best in the game.

It would be great if we still had touring GB sides, and a fixture against an Indigenous side (the way they would play a QLD or NSW side in the past) would be a stand out fixture. Or, an Indigenous tour of Europe every 4 years (like a British Lions side).
