“It is sad to see him go. As a young kid, when we came in, Macca was someone who was at the forefront of his career at the Broncos and really took us under his wing. He probably doesn’t get a lot of credit for the things he does behind the scenes for the club and the support he gives to us."
That's the part I will miss most about him. Notice the kids who he was around and by and large decent humans, and the ones who took on other role models are less than perfect. Even Jayden Brailey said how much Macca helped him after he was broken, and its a credit to the man who he is. I'll miss him but am SUPER STOKED for the future.

HAHA. FMD. 3 years for Macca? Griffin is a lunatic.

St George Illawarra have sealed a three-year deal for Broncos veteran Andrew McCullough to join the club immediately. After sitting out of Broncos training since Thursday, McCullough’s move was confirmed on Monday.

The 31-year-old former Queensland hooker has been targeted by new St George Illawarra coach Anthony Griffin for his "game-management skills".

Game management skills, lol. When did he ever show a shred of game management, he's a useless tackle bot and that's all he offers.

His game awareness has always been shit, in his last season with us he didn't even bother to look left or right before passing to check the numbers.

Is this essentially the last of the crop of 2008 who won nothing?

Copley and Glenn are still stinking it up.

I seriously don't get what Griffin and the Dragons were thinking.

not even making an offer to your captain and best player over the last 2 years is just crazy ... I could understand it if you were getting a significant upgrade to the position, like maybe a Grant ... but for Macca

All the best Macca, thanks for the trillion tackles and try savers you made. If we had more like you we'd never have held a wooden spoon. Glad you stitched up a good contract at the end of your career and even nicer that it was our first( and second👍) grandfinal victim.

Griffin needs 2 years to get Macca bulked up to the right levels

2 years too late. The slide and rot set in while the 2 plodders stunk up the team with their mediocrity.
Whatever training methods and so called professionalism they thought the young brigade should be mind wiped as off today.
Players of that calibre even at the Bulldogs would not even get past 20 games. But at the Broncos they get 10yr +500K salaries and favourable player options.
Not elite, but tries hard and pleasing to the eye - I hope I'm wrong, but getting a similar vibe they way we are carrying on about Carrigan and Dearden (akin to David Stagg and Berrick Barnes/Pete Wallace).

Well my cursed avatar strikes again. As a service to this board I’m taking suggestions for the next victim.
Please not Kevvy. I’d say Milford, but there’s a one in a Milford chance he might come good. If he doesn’t, he might take Kevvie with him.
Croft might need to find some form quick smart or he’ll be the next whipping boy.

Yeah it makes no sense whatsoever and not only is Macca not a better player, he is and has been on the decline for years. He is also coming off a serious injury.

In fact, this feels like the Boyd re-signing all over again. So glad the Dragons have done this and not us!

He won't see out his 3 years. Coming off a torn hamstring (off the bone) and ACL he will struggle.

Luke O'Donnell was half the player after his tore his hamstring off the bone. Suspect similar to happen to McCullough unfortunately.

Wish him the best though because he's been a good servant of the club
