Annoyed!

Wonder if there will be a similar thread about Dave Taylor this time next year

I agree with you Rocky, but people are still talking about Priddis FFS. Some folks just like to dwell...

*** was just looking for the right opening and Anus wasn't what he was cracked up to be. He was given opportunities but rectum.

I will dwell on Priddis forever he is the worst one we ever lost. He wanted to stay for next to nothing and we had a young unproven Mick Ryan to fill the gigantic void he left.

same for me ... the loss of Priddis was way more catastrophic than even the loss of Prince ... 2 more premierships in my view if Priddis stays

Oink !

I iz still angery dat da Broncos let da Axe Gillmeister. Cost us da 94 premierz eh bro.

Man, I'm pissed we let Wally go. It cost us the 91 premiership.

The point is, it's not so much about the individual. Rather it's how they combine as a team.
As a team, they combine beautifully, such that the individuals shine.
The point I'm trying to make is, without that particular combination of players supporting each other, their individual achievements would be much reduced.
It's more about the recipe rather than the individual ingredients.
Hope that makes sense.

+1 with the Gymp. We had massive hooker problems after that.

As for Stagg he wasn't half the player he is now than when he was with us. Now he actually makes dominant tackles, and he breaks the line, 2 things that he never did (probably because he wasn't coached the right way [icon_wink ) with us.

Hannant and Ennis will always be journey men and the Broncos made the right decision.

The dogs are doing so great because they have a great attitute combined with a new coach. New coaches seem to bring out the best in players in their first season. That's why coaches such as Fittler, Taylor, Brown etc seemed to do well when they first came in. Now they are all pretty shit. But Kevin Moore is a bit different considering he didn't just retire 2 years ago. Don't know how long they can keep Kimmorley either, he would be on the verge of retirement.

Last time I checked the salary cap had a lot to do with this. Also we are in the semis up to our ears so lets not start the whole arguement again because it is crap.

Well, if its not crap it'll do till we get some.

If only we can get the NRL to put us on he same cap the dogs seem to have. The current dogs side has about 4 home grown players in there side, and when El Masri goes, that become 3 seeing as they have bought a replacment.

I've been whining about this for a while. Whats done is done though so who cares, Cullen will hopefully be gone for good once 2011 comes around so we might have some better things happening at the place around then in regards to recruitment and retention.

BTW This new server is blazing fast, I love how fast the pages load now basically instant for me!

I don't think Rock's talking about our home grown or bought players, I think he's just saying that if the dogs are over the cap it wouldn't be hard for people to assume we are too given the names we've got on the books compared to the dogs.

Yep, there AREN'T salary cap concessions for 'grown' players, so it actually makes no difference how many players you've developed vs how many you've bought.

Should there be a concession? Would it be good for the game? I'd like to think it would mean more players stay at one club for their career.
