This is the one guy, I wish never had issues with his back.. IMO Could have been regarded as the best full back ever to play the game, he was already up there. Such a shame.

His power was phenomenal, without fail would break the first 2 tackles on a kick return. Injuries robbed him of being Australia's long term number 1.

Lockyer is the best, he was second. the roosters have been unlucky with fullbacks, with Minichiello and and Phillips both having debilitating and serious injuries time after time. without Phillips, the Broncos win the 2000 grand final by 30+. he was marvellous in a losing side.

I don't think Minichiello was ever going to surpass Lockyer. He may have done some things better but Lockyer had the whole package and more. Agree with AP though, Mini would have come in second without all the injuries.

Joan Holloway would look excellent with a whip, by the way.
