Anthony Seibold has "quit" as Brisbane head coach, and will front a press conference at 9am tomorrow to explain why:

“I want to speak to the team before I say anything. I owe it to the players.”

In response to Phil Murphy's comment “It’s like having a cancer and it has not been cut out … if you don’t treat the cancer you die and that’s what, unfortunately and sadly, I don’t want to see the Broncos die:”

“I have only met him three times in my life and two of those were in the changerooms after games when the players complained about him. He is not a decision-maker at our club. I think it is a pretty insensitive comment in regards to people who have to go through that ordeal. I find it disgusting from a person who has no understanding or knowledge of our inner sanctum.”

It's how we all feel, Gordie.

Geez i hope Gordies alright...looks real cut up doesnt he...?

not until you somehow convince News Corp to sell you the majority share
News might still do it themselves. There is a report that siebold was only punted now under instructions from news not any decision of the board.
Whilst a coach can be punted 'in season' they might want to wait until the off season to move on the board who have just cost them several mil.
Don't know that this is all over yet.

Geez this weeks' game is gonna be real interesting now. I wonder if there is a sense of relief from players and they might come out and show a renewed sense of passion and enthusiasm, trying to impress the incoming new coach, whoever that might be. Just last week's game you could sense an improvement of sorts under Gentle's tutelage.
