Ashes Discussion

Hate to say it, but that was bad captaincy.

It is what it is. Don't complain about Cummins captaincy

He’s done well to win the ashes, but yeah, bad calls from Cummins. Starc is the problem though.

He wasn't bowled at the right times imo.

Should have been brought on the next over after Bairstow hurt his thumb. Cummins also bowled himself one too many overs at times.

Great series from Starc though, with bat and ball imo.

Without complaining or being a sore drawer quite honestly I don’t think Cummins or Starc were up to scratch this test match. Cummins bowled one good over and will have his dick sucked for it. Poor captaincy as well for being in such a commanding position. Other than the below par bowling from them just the shear lack of energy out in the field was pretty disappointing.

Anyway could be worse will have to wait another 4 years to go after that elusive 5-0. Never know could skittle them in England. Let’s just pray they wake the **** up over the next week and Khawaja gets selected. Great last day (session of cricket).

With bat yeah, but he’s fucking all over the show with line and length.

Yeah I don't know mate. He's been pretty good. Occasionally shonky but look at his stats. Bounced back very well from a dogshit world cup.

I think they were both a bit complacent after wrapping up the series, but the pitch was wonky as this series. Different every day, but very pedestrian bowling the first innings.

Hard to be too critical, I mean it's easy to be but it's not entirely fair.

Cummins with the late declaration? anyone thinking he made the decision on his own without consultation is deadset kidding themselves. It's not like we didn't have enough time to get 10 wickets, missed out on a few chances.

Lyon got some big wickets today which gave us a chance to win it late in the day but ultimately England played the conditions perfectly and saw to it we had to end the game with a part-time spinner and Nathan Lyon, who whilst he is a great bowler, he doesn't have much variation. Especially when batsmen are only looking to play with a dead bat. The pitch wasn't doing much for him there and he does rely on some variation off the wicket.

How the **** did Australia not win that one?

They had England shot. All they had to do was keep doing what they had been doing the whole series.

The big mistake was leaving ourselves only 100 overs to bowl them out.

They were always going to play for the draw and on that pitch we should have known we would need longer. Lesson for Cummins and the leadership team, hopefully they all learn from it.

I'm not really that upset about the result but I do hope we rotate some of the bowlers for the next test. Starc in particular looks cooked. Questions need to start being asked of Carey too.

Yeah give us a 102 and we win that let alone say 110 they weren’t chasing the runs.
