Ashley Klein is a corrupt dud

So any ref that gets 2 or more challenges overturned in the one game should have a please explain.

Then you add the 9-0 penalty count 28 mins into the game.
Then you add the Carrigan 10 in the bin.
Then you add the Egan clear concussion, no HIA.
Then you add the Walsh HIA (apparently no head contact) late hit from Barnett after the kick.
Then you have the no sin bin from (I think) Tuaupiki on Ezra when he made that break, laying down not allowing him to get a quick play the ball.

Can’t forget how much they were laying in the ruck also.

It was a truly diabolical officiating display.
Why do yall keep going on about the concussion incidents. They have nothing to do with the refereeing.

One of them certainly does, the late hit on Reece from Barnett.
It wasnt late or high and Walsh wasnt even complaining about the hit I think. He was pissed about whoever made the decision after the fact from upstairs. Right after the play he is looking at the play because it was a decent kick that was a close call on a try. Didnt look shaken up at all. He looked gassed if anything.

I thought Egan should have come off once the trainer looked at him. I thought he was dazed too. Thats why Klein stopped the play. But this is a doctor issue not a bunker or referee problem.

Im not even sure that Egan didnt have a concussion test during halftime. If you remember it was close to that stoppage. He should have come off earlier though. The doctor should have seen it.

Now on the flip side, these are absolutely penalties:
- Riki hitting off the ball, no matter whether he pulled out
- Talty taking out the kicking leg
- Piki's tackle as mentioned

+ Willison high contact .
Riki strip .
Reyno escort
Walsh dissent .

Honourable mention to the touchie for the AKP non step on the side line that was called back .
And the bungler for overturning the try on replay

I.e: Dominant tackle and regardless, AKP then rolls himself into touch. Suspension for bringing the game into disrepute (I jest about this)
That doesn't entitle Jesse to enter the tackle. Riki uses Khan-Pereira as leverage as well, so it was easy penalty for them to claim.
I'm not sure we are talking about the same one as I'm not watching that trash again but is this one on the goal line where Klein calls Walsh out and Walsh stands there with his hands up and then gets penalised?
Watch it and tell me. I went to the effort to time stamp these you can show me the same amount of respect.

I.e: A 50-50 call at best, if you are going to call that, you should be blowing penalties just about every tackle.
No, off-sides are black and white. We just don't have the vision of it. Right now I wouldn't claim it as a howler.

He has his arm up and looks like Ford is holding him down. It certainly isn't an unusual length tackle and unlike almost every single other tackle in the game, Klein says nothing, no direction to get up or anything. Even if you give it a penalty, there is so much doubt as to what is going on there that you simply cannot bin a player.
That's not true. He tells the players to get up and they continue on with the tackle. It even sounds like he stammers 'get get get up' so you should be able to hear it.

I'd say this is a 50/50.

The inconsistencies in ruck speed adjudication.
We need more examples. So far we have the Barnett one and even then you see those let go every game.

No binning for Tuaipiki
Yeah he got lucky. However as Bfan has alluded to you just about have to teabag a player to get binned these days.

even Barnett got lucky not to be binned but to not even have a penalty is just incompetent.
Sin bin would have been over the top. Not unprecedented but one of those calls where it doesn't sit right. Penalty would have been sufficient, especially in light of Walsh coming off for an HIA. That was

That's one call from Ash, and one call from Gee.

1:20:15

It's after the kick and he hits him in the head. Doesn't take a lip-reader to see Walsh was signalling that he'd been taken high.

What saves Barnett from a binning is that it wasn't direct contact.

I must need new glasses. If thats a high tackle we should give it up. Looked fine to me. He does mutter high on the ground. There is an angle from behind where he is looking at the play the whole time after he kicks the ball and he didnt seem like he was rattled. I didnt understand him being taken off.

Last time I checked you can't make contact with the head. Especially when they don't have the ball.

He didn’t hit him in the head?

Every single week 8 fanbases blame the ref for why their team lost. Hell half the teams that win have their fan base screaming that it was in spite of the refs. gets tiring. We just need to get better. Anyway my suggestion would be that when they take the job they should have to declare which team they follow and not be allowed to officiate those teams.
That's your best comment yet.

Not really if you want to call it half a head clash. Was more the body like Gee said. He wasnt cited or charged.

I guess we will just put it down to the Broncos just never getting anything go their way again...
Yes, not being charged for it against the Broncos is definitely an indication that it didn’t happen. Let’s ask Victor Radley to comment on this unlucky bump. Then we will talk to Jordan Riki about not standing still.

Exactly like I said. Everybody in the NRL headquarters wants one of the biggest clubs commercially to fail.... you are exactly right.

Not every head high penalty is cited by the MRC. He's still made contact with the head which constitutes a head high.
Not if its your chest it doesnt. And if you are correct that he did get him in the head they missed it live then do you believe that was reportable and should have been changed?
