Yeah. It was hard to watch. Wet conditions, crap opposition, referee penalising everything, Australia lowered themselves to the level of the contest IMO.

Like pretty much anyone would, when facing PNG's left centre? (The guy looked more like a front rower)
My heart skipped a few when he hit Locky. Fortunately the master went on to have a hand in almost every aussie try and score his own to make the record his.

Darn those Kumuls tried to put an hit on anything with a green jersey that moved! [icon_ee Gotta love their heart for the game and their jersey!
All in all, it was good to get the cobwebs out of the way and warm up to the England test.

It was an important game to get the rust out as the Aussies spine of Lockyer, Smith, Cronk and Slater haven't played any footy in 6 weeks as none of them played finals and in Locky's case it was more like 10 weeks since his last game because of his rib injury

Well Lewis spent the first 5 or so years of his career in the wing/centres.

Tate getting injured proved how dumb the selection of Gidley was. Unless we lost our fullback or hooker Lewis would have done either a better or equal job in any other position on the field (I rate Gidley as a 1 or a 9, I don't think he offers much in any other role especially at this level).

Wasn't a flashy game to watch that's for sure...

I hate the off season!!!

I think AUS vs NZ is the one to watch... hopefully NZ make the final and Benji fires up... pity about Manu though... AUS at full strength and NZ don't really cut it but with the AUS team the way it is now... should be a good watch. When was the last time AUS had this much injuries? Surely not since 04??
