To be fair, the batsmen (aside from Smith + 1 (who depends on the day) and Cummins lower down the order) have been phoning it in since the golden generation retired. Warner is good on roads but outside of that, there isn't a whole lot that is great about the batting. The amazingness of Smith tends to cover over a lot of this big problem.
