CRICKET Australia v India Summer

No credit to the skills of the bowlers ?
No acknowledgement of the sideways movement off the pitch ?

Nah just stick the boot in ...
Bowling was great and pitch gave them plenty of assistance. We were still very poor. 4 of top 5 lbw or bowled. That’s poor

If the pitch today is like it was yesterday. India will be batting until lunch on day 4 and then our over-the-hill batting line up will be left to try and save the test against well rested bowlers.

Good luck!

The bowling was extraordinarily good from India, but this is another abject failure from our batsmen that was equal parts their own doing..

we’ve had the best part of year to prepare for this Test .. to sort out the wobbles that crept into our batting around 18 months ago and do everything in our power to ensure we’re ready to go for this first Test..

But instead of controlling the controllables to give ourselves the best possible chance to be at our best, we’ve basically taken a ‘she’ll be right mate’ attitude and allowed the players to choose their own adventures prior to Perth..

The result : 6 for 48 —> 104 all out and our captain and best bowler looking physically underdone and well below his best after two days.. and the game is all but gone.

We had all year to be ready, we knew what India was going to bring.. but here we are, underprepared and beaten after two days

Its a piss take from the blokes wearing the baggy green

Take out KL Rahul`s 50 and scores were even after the 1st innings .
Now the pitch has dried out and is a different proposition .

So what should they have been doing to prepare ?
Bring in a hard man ? LOL .

It isn't rocket science mate, even for someone as limited as you.

Get the blokes playing more FC matches in the lead in and actual, you know, tests.

Cummins last four day + outing was early March - 8 months ago. Hazlewood played 3 first class games in the last 12 months. Starc and Hazlewood have played one FC game since NZ. The batting line up have all performed extremely poorly for the last 2 years (haven't played tests since March).

They are not ready. India played two A games in the lead in plus an intra game, on the back of tests against NZ which, ironically, they were smashed because they were underprepared for that because they were focusing on this series but at least they were playing tests.

Australia came in underdone and underprepared, its embarrassing that this needs to be explained to you.

Be keen to get Kohli out. I don’t want to see him in form.

Since scoring three centuries back to back two years ago, Marnus has scored 1 century and 7 fifties in 40 innings.

Smith has an even worse record with just 1 hundred and less fifties in the same time.

Travis Head reads similar.

And guess what, so does Khawaja.

And yep, so too Marsh.

All of the top 6 aside from McSweeney have scored ONE hundred each in the last two years.

Well this does not bode well for Aus's second innings. That Indian opening pair just a massive difference.

Mitch Marsh shouldn’t be in this team if he can’t bowl. He’s not good enough with the bat to hold his spot. Much rather see Aaron Hardie at 6 and get more over to support the attack better.

Either Hardie or Webster. Webster has the performances on the board to be fair.

Nothing further your honour ..

So our fast bowlers are gonna be fried and then expected to score 200+ to win
Aussie batters out there stealing a paycheck at the moment... get paid to score **** all runs and then stand in the field talking shit ... if you lose who cares as long as everyone is doing it their way.

Poor old bowlers have to slog it out regardless of winning or losing and then still have to bat after the actual batters have collapsed.

Australia will lose this but they need to make the Indian bowlers toil too. Of course they’ll get out in about 30 overs though.

Michael Vaughn hits the nail on the head - there are a number of players in this side that are too comfortable.
