Yeah I'm excited for him, the test side needs an injection of some under 30s and he is the best credentialed. Plus he is a more than decent part-time spinner with wicket breaker trait. He is also a future captain.

I didnt get to watch. I think as long as he looked comfortable up until he got out than that innings shouldn’t scare the selectors off. The one worrying thing for McSweeney coming into this game was that at a certain stage you aren’t gonna keep scoring at the rate you are which is fine but at the MCG you always left space for Harris to look like a fucking superstar. Biggest Vic ground merchant of all time.

I think it’s safe to say Konstas and Davies are both a fair while off being remotely discussable. Give them 2 more years and they’ll both be primed I reckon.
