Davies is like a young Head. He has immense talent, just needs to learn to bat with controlled attacking instincts. Counter punching is his natural style but you need to not do it in a reckless way.

Aside from Carey, are any batsmen going in to the test series in any form whatsoever? If McSweeney makes it, he is basically the only one.

That it was hitting middle and not off ?
For an opener he doesn`t seem to understand where his stumps are ?
Takes guard on middle then moves to off at delivery and is shocked when he gets hit in front by in swingers .
His bat is not even swinging in line with the ball .

I was excited to see this kid after the hype of twin centuries . Only to realise he is a long way from the Australian team ATM .

Konstas did well batting 4. McSweeney looked the best of the lot but didn’t kick on in either innings opening but did well in the first game. Harris did well in the first innings but golden duck in the second with all the concerns still there.
