I think he just hasn't been given any easy runs as yet.

The two boundaries today were a full wide one and then a short wide one... he's just had Bumrah peppering his pads and top of off with a moving ball.

It is what it is for an opener, but he looks quite good out there and hope that he eventually gets the no. 4 spot and not pigeon holed into opener and eventually shafted, so some young upstart from NSW can take Smudge's spot

Yeah for sure, he's shown really good signs. Hopefully a big score is around the corner. He's been impressive without having the scores to prove it.
