Glad India made it, Cummins and Starc need to rest. Probably don't even have them warm up tomorrow, let Lyon and Marsh finish it. It'd be nice if someone in the media started calling out Marsh's spot in the team but they all love him and his family.

They've passed the follow on now, but I think you would just bat again anyway.

Starc and Cummins are sitting at 24 and 21 overs respectively.... by comparison Australia got to 450 and Bumrah bowled 28 overs.

If they enforced the follow on we would've been very long odds to get a win and our two strike bowlers would end up bowling more than their main guy who ends up getting a nice long rest.

We'd then be heading into the next test in just over a week with Hazelwood injured and the other two bowling all day on day 5 for a draw.

Just send our guys out there and have a bat. Uzzie, McSweeney and Marnus all need time in the middle so may as well send them out there and get as many overs into Bumrah as you can.

It was a frustrating day and you'd have to wonder what impact that will have on the Australians. They've had all the momentum since Head and Smith's partnership, but the stop start nature really disrupted their momentum and India did well to seemingly send this match to a draw.

I’d say no chance of either coming in. Both probably don’t have the overs in them to be considered. Would be keen to see both in decent bowling conditions. We don’t usually get that at the MCG

Agreed. I think Jhye Richardson is our best bowler not in the test side but his body just won’t let him play. Morris is another that is fast but no real quality
About him.

Your list looks pretty sound. Joel Paris has the stats also but probably not the pace to make a go of it. I think we need to look younger for our next real good generation of quicks.

Yeah Paris has an amazing record but probably too old.
