Yes I know but that hasn't happened. Kettleborough, Gaffaney and Illingworth have disappeared and replaced by Wilison, Gough, Saikat.

In form this year, but there's no way I'd pick him given his age/ overall FC average/ other bowling options available (Richardson, O'Neill, Bartlett, Johnson, Paris, Elliot, Edwards, Sutherland, etc).

He's always been one of the boys, so there has to be some Marsh 'good bloke' factor to the selection.

I've always thought his batting was more like Starc / Johnson with big swinging... so I don't think that would hold up much at 8 either

This part makes him look like a bad sport. If he thought it was the right call and they weren't hard done by it, he wouldn't have said this.

For sure! Both those guys look great for Aus long term and both can bat pretty much as well as Abbott if not better.

I'd do Webster and Jhye in, Marsh and Starc out.

Starc bowled brilliantly but they'd be crazy to play him with a niggle when he already drops off significantly by the 5th test of a series.
