Yeah Perth was significant. He was completely remodelled and knew his game much better. Great hands that's his strength and footwork.

He is the most evolved player I have ever seen; I have never heard a player go from a number 8 spinner on debut to captain and top four batsman as well as producing outstanding results.

If the Aussies can turn Handscomb into a keeper, find the correct number 6 (Lehmann) and play Starc + Cummins at 7 and 8, they have pretty much the best possible side they could have post-India.

You'd have to bat handscomb at 6 if you did that.. not really a fan of that at test level though.. think you need a specialist keeper.. grabbing one or two dismissals that a bit-part keeper would likely miss makes a specialist keeper worth plenty of runs they may not necessarily score with the bat

That's one of the big lesson we have learnt from Sri Lanka, keep the straight one out- if you nick the big turner nothing you can do.
