Australia v India

So where does that rate in Australia's greatest ever Test victories?

It's got to be up there. This is the team of fighters Smith wanted and they have repaid in spades. They may well lose this series but this victory is epic, career defining for SOK.

Wow. Really well done to the whole team. They obviously learned from the tour of SL, and the application here has been amazing.

Lyon and SOK are bowling great, but the Queenslander in me can't help but wonder how Swepson would be looking on this pitch right now. I'd honestly contemplate "resting" Hazlewood or Starc next game for Swepson or Agar if it's another dust bowl like this.

Either way Mitch Marsh should be dropped, if he isn't bowling we'd be better off having Khawaja at 3 and S.Marsh or Maxwell at 6.

Who needs Swepson when you've got O'Keefe.

Amazing result TBH. I can't really believe that the result is real. Superb stuff from the Aussies. I don't understand how India were so bad though.

I don't think we all fully appreciate how good that was from SOK yesterday. It's going to take a while to sink in.

He got the best figures by an away bowler in India EVER. He beat them, no humiliated them at their own game.

This is a team that hasn't been beaten at home in years, are world number 1, have the most daunting batting line up in the world and on their home turf. He made them look clueless. Just phenomenal and if he can do it the whole series, may well be discussed along side Johnson's campaign in THAT Ashes. Long way to go for that yet but that was just pure domination!

You could spend hours pulling apart this game and not come up with answers.

India's fielding which has improved so much went back to dismal. Jadeja turned it too much if that is even a thing. His beat the bat count must have been higher than any bowler ever.

Their batting was brittle and just collapsed with little application or thought.

Smith did two things he doesn't do a lot and that's sweep and come down to the bowlers. That's brilliant batting; he changed to the conditions. Something we are normally terrible at. He defended for the straight one which is what undid us in Sri Lanka.

O'Keefe hit the shine and forgot about the seam. He always has accuracy, he got a lot of LB just being accurate and aiming for the outside edge.

Great win, but we may have poked them a bit. Interesting to see what Chinnaswarmy produces- it is their "Perth." Kaspa got 10 wickets their in two Tests at 17. He always loves bowling there.

Second best- Botham 13/106. Best ever by a touring spinner.

10th best by an Australia ever.

You can't afford to get too cute. Chinnaswarmy has pace and carry.

It was a great result for the team. They've obviously worked hard. That said I fully expect India to come back and flog us in the next test. Smith has always been a very good player of spin bowling but he adjusted nicely to playing spin in India this match. Renshaw was quite surprising TBH. He's a special kid with a huge future. SOK seems to really suit the conditions in India. I don't really rate his bowling but it gets results. Amazing to think we won a test match in 3 days and our pace bowlers didn't finish with all the wickets.

An astonishing result considering Aust have at least four question marks in their lineup and are hardly a powerhouse. But India are vastly overrated and home victories against lightweights NZ and Eng have elevated their standings in the farcical ratings system.

I don't see the Aussies losing the series from here. They smell blood and will stamp the initiative against a side who have a whole nation counting on them.
