CRICKET Australia v India

Surely some head has to role. This was supposed to be a meticulously planned tour and yet all the things that should have planned well have not been planned at all.

It also seems clear that the playing standards have dropped from the team. The captain himself has bowled absolute trash most of both tests.

When they won in 2004 it was played at the start of our summer September-October- no BBL and they played a warmup game against Mumbai they then went into the first Test a week later and won by 217 runs.

Look at that warm up game (minutes batting)- Hayden 142, Katich 102, Martyn 177, Gilchrist 91 even Lee got an hour.

Second Innings- Langer 190 minutes, Clarke 145 minutes, Hodge 73.

They all got time in the middle.

They have done none of that, the best they did was try and turn North Sydney Oval into an Indian pitch and got it scuffed up for a hit. No where near enough. They needed prep with the SG balls, they needed time batting over there and getting used to things like three spinners.

You can see improvement in the bowlers- Lyon particularly from the first test to second test. Imagine what could have been done with a warmup game.

So true. And I thought it was madness they put the boys in the bbl for a couple of hit and giggle games.

If Warner and H'Wood are on a plane home, Maxwell and Neser should be on a flight to India already. Maxwell is fit as he's been named to play shield.

We’ve just got burnt picking guys recovering and injured and you want a guy that hasn’t played Shield since 19 and recovering from a broken leg and left the field today with a busted wrist to go over?

Agar returning home so he can play some cricket - this meticulously planned tour has fallen apart spectacularly

Hazlewood and Warner have also left. No replacement called up

I liked Hayden’s commentary. He said look sweeping is a great shot but to do it, you have to be absolutely certain it isn’t going to hit the stumps if you miss.

Rohit ‘Powerfish’ out first ball.. Australia doesn’t review

Make that two fucking reviews we didn’t make which would’ve been wickets

I can understand on the lbw but not to review that edge is just insane.

If the umpire did his one job, it wouldn't be an issue, clear noise.

If Australia is bowling this well, this entire test could be over by this afternoon.
