I'm guessing Morkel was the one subbed out for Wildermuth, but has he actually been bowling poorly??

I recall one bad over against strikers?? two games ago when he was subbed out but other than that I thought he had been mostly economical.

Renegades 1-29 off 4 (7.25 rpo)
Scorchers 2-24 off 4 (6 rpo)
Strikers 0-10 off 1 (10 rpo)

So overall 3-63 off 9 overs (7 rpo), but hasn't been seen since.

I thought he was seriously good for us once he came in but he has one bad over when everyone went for plenty against the strikers and hasn't been seen since.

Realistically Laughlan, Morkel and Sweppo should make up our best attack, with Wildermuth the 4th and the rest shared between Gregory, Marnus and now Denly.

Steketee definitely not needed.

I'd also bring Bazley in for Bryant and move Burns up to open, which would give us another bowling option for the 5th bowler

That’s a worse decision to not pick him... Tait wouldn’t have played a game if being adept at fielding was a criteria for fast bowlers

Steketee just went 0-54 off 4 and is meant to be our “strike” bowler... I’ll take hiding a liability in the field going at 7rpo vs a different fast bowler going at 13 rpo

Definitely would’ve been better playing Hobart, but they’ve shit the bed heat style.

I’d say strikers purely because their bowling lineup just isn’t that great.

Even though we finished above the strikers would they still force us to play at Adelaide??

If we can play strikers anywhere other than Adelaide, I’ll take them over the stars

So bad, but it’s hilarious to listen to his voice deflate as he realises the stars fall further and further out of contention.

he’s there for colour commentary and insight on tactics, and even though he was a captain in IPL he doesn’t seem to offer a whole lot of insight.

compare that to Ponting or Hodge who can tell you what ball the bowler is looking to bowl based on the field and it is a huge letdown on the fox crew
