BBL06 Discussion

No one really cares but it is nice to see any Brissy side do well.

Is anyone though really fussed over if they win or lose or not? I guess their my team because they are the local side but I don't really care if they win or lose, unlike the national team, Broncos etc. I just want to enjoy the T20.

Yeah I support the Heat, I was a member in 2011-12 when we had Haydos smacking them around the park. I pretty much feel obliged to support any sporting team affiliated with Brisbane or Queensland.

Adrenalin still running from this game
Floros was horrible
I believe the real turning point wasn't the wickets but the Badree maiden over, Crucial
Mccullum take a bow, superb captaincy, changing the field and your optimism was incredible
Very good death bowling

Brisbane Lions fan?

I'm a Lions 'fan'. Have to support someone in this stoopid city I live in as nrl is foreign to them. At least when I say I support the Lions, it finishes AFL conversations quickly because 'There's always next decade'.

Brisbane Lions fan?

Well, that's another story, I was a big fan and went to a bunch of games during the 3-peat era, but since then I don't think I've watched a full game of AFL, the sport just doesn't interest me much.

Say what? I cheer just as hard as I do for the Broncos.

McCullum rightfully the man of the match. Although the bowlers had to bowl the balls (dah) McCullum gave them the belief. Superb effort.

Going off-topic a bit more, but to me, AFL is like Yawnion. It's fantastic when it's fluid, running and quality. But 95% of both games is fumbles, stacks-on and ways how not to play the game(s)

Well the Heat defended a total. That is a miracle. The bowlers should gain plenty of confidence from that.

Yep for sure. They were gone for all money and then actually bowled their way back by taking wickets at crucial times.

Let's also not forget that there were FOUR dropped catches, at least two of them were sitters as well, so they were creating chances as well as defending their score. A lot of upside to that performance. Fielding definitely needs work though.

I wish Finch would play like this for Australia

Cummins is just a total gun. If he can get an extended run, an attack of him, Starc and Hazlewood is deadly. I would include Pattinson obviously but he is injured AGAIN. Looks like he will be our Shane Bond.

Aussie t20 side:

1. Finch
2. Warner
3. Smith (c)
4. Head
5. Lynn
6. Marsh
7. Wade
8. Faulkner
9. Starc
10. Cummins
11. Zampa

Something like that?

That was possibly the worst team 180 I've seen, I have no idea how they got that.

Ugh this stupid time of year - 35 Get Me Out of Here ads. Got those ads out of here PLEASE!

Gotta have the big show in there somewhere, probably in place of Marsh.

The Sydney Thunder's batting line up is woeful. They better hope teams don't put on more than 120 against them as they will struggle to chase even that, they have almost no firepower.
